Ring in the season with your own bell creation this holiday season!

This ADORABLE, yet FUN project was SIMPLE. This was a pretty simple craft project using our new FolkArt Brushed Metal Acrylic Paint. Hang alongside your mantel or place them amongst a table for the centerpiece look with some greenery and berries!

Materials needed:
6″ Round Paper Mache Box
Natural Jute Rope
David Tutera Casual Elegance Hemp Cord Twine
1″ Square Unfinished Wood Beads
Black FolkArt Brushed Metal Acrylic Paint
Antique Gold FolkArt Brushed Metal Acrylic Paint
1″ Round Unfinished Wood Beads

First things first, you will remove the lid off the paper mache box and then glue it to the bottom of the box. I used hot glue along with a multipurpose glue to help hold it all together and adhere.

We have this new Antique Gold FolkArt Brushed Metal Acrylic Paint that helped give me the idea. It took about 2 layer to cover it well.

Once the base coat was dry, i came in with a mixture of a small amount of the Black FolkArt Brushed Metal paint and then some of the gold on a paper plate. Took a piece of paper towel and dapped the little mixture all over the outside of the paper mache box.

• If you get to much black on in areas, comes back with a piece of paper towel of just the gold. Then dab into those places. This will help blend together.

You will then grab you measuring tape and find the center on the lid. Mark with your pencil and then come in with your drill. Go slowly as you have to go through two layers.

Take about 15 inches of the Jute rope and feed it through the hole that was just drilled.

You will then double knot of the rope from the inside.

Once your rope is tied into place, you will then grab your 1 inch wooden balls. You will then paint them with that gold paint. Once dried, you will come in with the black and gold mixture and dab again over 2 wooden balls.

Once all set, grab the two prepared wooden balls and thread them onto the top of the lid with the rope you have tied on. Once on, you will then finalize the rope by tying a loop and holding the balls in place.

Take a decent amount of twine and tie onto the underside of the box. Leave a couple inches hanging out of the box to allow room for the ‘ringer’.

I have taken a 1 inch square wooden bead and painted it gold. Once dried, i then tied onto the twine hanging from the inside of the box. I allowed the square bead to hang out about a half inch to give the effect.
