It is a great project to do with the kids. Super simple and turns out so cute looking. All is needed is pony beads, a whisk with 5 loops, wooden beads and pipe cleaners. Below i have provided the material lists.

Wire Kitchen Whisks
Multicolored Pony Beads
White Pipe Cleaners
3/4″ Round Unfinished Wood Beads
25 mm Round Unfinished Wood Beads
Wire Cutters
Scissors

Let’s grab your supplies, channel your inner artist, and let’s get crafting!

Step 1:

Grab your whisk, preferably one with 5 loops. Bend 2 loops to one side and 2 loops to the other, leaving one loop pointing straight up.

Step 2:

Once you have bent the loops into place, take the one pointing straight up and cut it in half with wire cutters.

Grab your wooden beads. Use the larger bead for the bigger whisk and the smaller bead for the smaller whisk. Feed the two ends of the cut wire into the wooden bead and push them down as far as possible to create the face.

Step 3:
Take the wire cutters and grab the end of the wire you just cut, this will allow you to be about to bend them into shape for the ‘antennas’.

• Now if you would like to glue beads at the tips to protect the sharp ends, feel free or even pom poms would look great.

Step 4:

You will now grab your white pipe cleaners, or whichever color you chose. Simply wrap one end around the wires near the ‘body’ of the whisk. Wrap as tight as you can to keep in place. You may place some hot glue to hold into place if you wish.

Step 5:

Decide on your color schemes for the beads, or slide them on in no particular order-have fun with the colors! Once you have added as many beads as you can fit to meet the end of the loops, wrap the other end around the loop to secure it in place. Trim off any excess pipe cleaner.

Repeat step 5 for the 3 other loops!
